Git git Waterfall
Git git waterfall is easily accessible by road and one of the most popular in Bali. It is approximately 35 m high and surrounded by a lush jungle. Some monkeys live here, who may drink downstream or in the trees around the waterfalls.
There is a decent car park with public restrooms for a small fee and the walk to the base of the waterfalls is approximately 500 m. There are many locals who want to be your guide. This usually costs around IDR 100,000 per person and is useful if you need help. However, this is not mandatory and you can run yourself.
It is important to get here as early as possible because, although it is a long way, it is becoming more popular and can get crowded in the afternoon. The entry price at the time of writing is IDR 25,000. It is not mandatory to hire a local guide to guide you on the way to the valley floor and the base of the waterfall.
Waterfall Location
It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the parking lot to the bottom of the falls and not too difficult (the Sekumpul waterfall for contrast is much more difficult). If you are on tour with one of my drivers, he will drive you down to the base of the waterfalls or if you need help to hire a local guide.
The waterfalls flow all year round, but the best time is November through February when rainfall is at its highest. It is 75 km from Seminyak and the journey takes between 2.5 and 3 hours depending on traffic. It is best to get up early and leave between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. when traffic is minimal and you miss the buses to Danu Beratan.
